Mayoral Candidate Duncan Announces Many Opportunities to Listen to Voters

Meet & Greets, Tweet At Me! & Facebook Live Q&As – first for Topeka Mayoral Candidate

Spencer Duncan, candidate for Mayor, has released an aggressive schedule providing Topekans three distinct opportunities to meet him, ask questions and provide their voices on issues important to them.

“I want to make sure voters get to know me, find out how I will get things done and, most important, have an opportunity to tell me the issues they want City government to address,” Duncan says. “I am making myself as available as possible.”

Duncan will host eight (8) Meet & Greets: casual way for voters to come & go and speak with him; five (5) Tweet at Me! events: opportunities to chat live on Twitter during set times; three (3) Facebook Live Q&As: Spencer will be live online during set times and answer questions via the Facebook Live platform, text and email.

Several events will be held the evening before election day, allowing voters to ask final questions they have for him. The full schedule is included.

“As Mayor, I will communicate regularly with Topekans in many ways, including monthly citizen forums,” Duncan says. “I insist on transparent and open government. You earn citizens’ trust by making sure they have access, are part of the process and that major decisions are done in open meetings. I’m running my campaign that way so voters are assured of my dedication to this core principle.”

This schedule does not include meetings, events, forums and gatherings Spencer is participating in at the request of citizens between now and August 1. He is available to any group or citizen.
